Investigation at Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory of U S Naval Engineering Experiment Station; test results show that difference in performance between best starting aid and poorest may be 20 to 30 F; there are still many problems to be solved before all diesel engines can be satisfactorily started at subzero temperatures.
