Purposes of simulation at Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory are divided into areas of training, demonstration, and research; elements of simulation comprise statement of problem, hypothesis, experimental plan, equipment, data collection, data analysis, and final conclusions; these elements are considered and examples presented which are taken from experience with aircraft control at low altitude to demonstrate various points.
