Krupp Corp., Germany, contracted by Boston and Maine Railroad Co.; produced from steel made in 120-ton tilting basic-lined open-hearth furnaces; charges, mostly all cold, consisted of about 75 per cent mill scrap and 25 per cent pig iron made from Swedish and Morocco ore; outstanding features of Krupp practice; straightening rails; method of straightening; no hot cambering machine used.
