Inductive train control was developed by Siemens and Halske for trains traveling at speeds of up to 140 km/hr; new problems presented by express trains traveling at 200 km/hr; optimal solution is shown to be continuous automatic train control system, theory, physical design and operating principle of which are described in main body of report; in conclusion attention is briefly drawn to suitability of this form of automatic train control for automatic and driverless control of express trains.
