To address the problem of excessive delay time for non-motorized vehicles two times crossing. In order to improve the efficiency of the intersection, the signal timing optimization model considering the crossing demand of non-motorized vehicles is established with the minimum average delay time of motorized vehicles and non-motorized vehicles as the optimization objective. The second-generation genetic algorithm is used to solve the model, and the optimal phase timing scheme is selected by combining the knee-point method. The results show that the optimal phase timing scheme reduces the average delay of motorized vehicles by 2.6% and the average delay of non-motorized vehicles by 4.7% compared with the signal timing delay scheme obtained by the first-generation genetic algorithm. It is proved that the intersection signal timing scheme considering the delay of non-motorized vehicles established in this paper can be used to reduce the delay time of the intersection, and NSGA-Ⅱ can improve the accuracy of the solution to facilitate the intersection signal timing optimization.
