With the advancement of society, we pay much attention to and make big efforts in the construction of city cluster. Chengyu City cluster is located in the western region with a great progress in space and broad advancement prospects in the development of regional integration. Intercity railway has advantages of rapidity, convenience, safety, environmental friendliness, large transport capacity, less land occupation, and so on. Rational planning of the intercity railway network is an important measure to develop Chengyu City cluster. In this paper, the forecast of passenger flow demand using 4-step model and the software TransCAD are applied. In the layout planning, this study combines the "node importance method" with the "point, line, and surface element analysis method" and comes up with one appropriate planning scheme by considering the situation of Chengyu City cluster. To sum up, this paper provides a case study of intercity railway planning in city cluster.
