Maglev transportation has become a new mode of transportation for rail transit system, with its unique maglev train levitating on the track in non-contact form under high speed operation. The biggest characteristic of maglev train is walking mechanism without wheels. The onboard operation control system of the train can realize the levitating, guiding and braking function of the train. The levitation and guidance subsystem of the train can automatically adjust the train’s levitation gap and guidance gap. Maglev train’s operating speed is up to 430 km/h. Controlling the train stably and reliably is the premise of the train’s safe operation. This paper introduces and analyzes the Redundancy control function of the maglev train system, and the strategies under fault conditions of safety operation. It also presents some constructive suggestions on the operation and maintenance of the maglev train system.
