Presented are principles of construction and assembly operations safety based on the use of back scratchers equipped with a special device – shock-absorber to reduce dynamic loads in case of human or items possible falling from height while erecting and recon-structing buildings and structures of various purpose. Given are the key elements of a shock-absorber with simple light-weight design distinguished by simplicity in manufac-ture, sufficient reliability in operation and fully compliant with construction operations conditions. As the result of theoretical investigations, with account to proposed scheme and complex, simultaneously running processes, possibility of dynamic loads reduction was proved as well as the most effective performance capabilities of such a device were identified. Described is the operation of a catching device equipped with shock-absorbers when item fall thereon with different values of load weight, shock-absorption factor and scratching fabric resilience. Given are results of conducted shock-absorber - equipped back scratcher dynamic tests and force impacts arising in a break strop (cable rope), that showed 2.5 times reducing in dynamic overloads mean peak values. Established was shock-absorption factor optimal value that can be taken into consideration while creating various means of individual and collective protection used during working at heights in civil, industrial construction and construction of traffic facilities.
