Cities nowadays face increasing mobility needs, intensified sub‐urbanization, escalating traffic flows and congestion. This leads to poor accessibility and emissions that negatively affect the environment. This chapter helps designers of transport policy in small and mid‐size cities to understand the benefits and the costs of real‐time passenger information (RTPI). The University of Maribor is carrying out testing and feasibility studies on RTPI in the city of Maribor. A methodology for bus stop hierarchy is performed to set RTPI panel locations. During a three‐month testing period, accuracy of the RTPI on bus stops and perceived waiting time were analyzed. Additional cost benefit analysis and the possibilities for full scale implementation are elaborated. The results of the pilot within EU South‐East European (SEE) project, Attractive Public Transport for Accessible Cities (ATTAC), are presented as lessons learned in a project output‐mobility toolbox.
