Data acquisition systems are fundamental to acquiring and recording meaningful data in flight testing. This chapter first provides an overview of digital data acquisition and analysis techniques including time and frequency domain representation of signals, temporal and spectral analysis, filtering, aliasing, and digitization. This chapter concludes with an example of digital data acquisition and analysis applied to flight testing.
