Chapter 6 reviews the common types of wheel suspension in vehicles. The structural elements of wheel suspensions, except for spring elements, remain solid in this context. The elementary introduction to vehicle dynamics provides the basis for subsequent investigation into the flexible structural elements of wheel suspensions and study of coupling effects.
