Through using a system dynamics approach, this research establishes a prediction model of Dalian Port cargo throughput and makes a thorough inquiry in the influence of distinct factors of economy and the port. The prediction model solves the deviation problem resulted from rare factors and uncertainty of economy and society level with the average relative error of 3%. In order to improve the effect of Dalian Port in the whole Northeast Economic Circle, several suggestions are given by analysis of the simulation results.
