Intersection is the bottleneck of city traffic and the major contributing factor to traffic delay, which has a great impact on path selection. This paper first analyzes and models the turning characteristic at typical intersections, then discusses the analysis result of typical intersections in Wuhan city based on floating car data, and finally verifies the influence of intersection turning characteristic on path selection and optimization.
