Infrared imaging simulation is important in national defense, military affairs, aviation and aerospace etc. A method of infrared imaging simulation is proposed based on Vega sensors, in this paper. The 3D model of air target with a visible texture was built with the software Creator. Then infrared texture was mapped to get by the tool TMM and atmosphere conditions were modeled in MAT and infrared image was simulated using Vega sensors. Finally the emulational infrared image is corrected using infrared imaging instrument and the measure instrument of infrared radiation on the surface of objects based on the above results.The experimental results show the method of infrared imaging simulation is effective and valuable in engineering application.
