Taking Wuhan traffic construction as an example, the relationship between pain perception and deterioration of traffic service level under traffic construction was studied. The data were obtained via a questionnaire survey. The study found that the travelers pain perceptions are monotonically increasing with the deteriorating quantity of service level. And it indicates that travelers pain perception is affected by his or her expectation on future traffic. Whats more, in the same degree of deterioration, the pain perception of the travelers with optimistic attitude is lower than that of pessimism ones with respect to the future traffic condition.
