According to the development of spring steel production at home and abroad, in this paper, the influence of chemical composition, microalloying and with rare-earth treatment, rolling technology and heat treatment on the properties of suspended leaf spring is summarized. A list of chemical composition of spring steel in use at home and abroad is given.
