In the paper the possibility of installing several wind turbines along the offshore outer dam in front of the seaport of Genova is investigated from an aerodynamic point of view. The wind direction frequencies measured in two stations near the seaport and the airport and recent applications of wind models to the same area allow an overall estimation of the wind conditions. A simple model for calculating the viscous decay of the turbine wake is then presented and applied. The particular arrangement of the wind turbines which necessarily should form a single row along the outer dam, reduces the possible configurations of the array so that some energy evaluation can be drawn. The vicinity of the seaport and of the airport involves important constraints that are discussed together with the environmental impact of the wind power station.
