Wheel force transducer systems (WFCs) are used mainly for the evaluation of suspension and body/frame endurance evaluation of road vehicles. In this study, WFT-systems that fall into three design categories: strain gaged beam and spoke, individual load cells and mechanically separated load components are evaluated. Some of these are shown to have potential for optimization.
