The active control system IVD is an effective active safety system. In this report, through the analysis of dynamics limitation for the vehcile and the tracjectory of yaw rate and slip angle on a phase plane, the proper control law is proposed, in which the yaw is taken as a main control variable and slip angle as an assistant variable. The stable area for slip angle can be achieved in phase plane. The integration of ABS and IVD can form an effective optimal system. The control algorithms proposed in this report are based on the practical implementation of a real controller which is simple, robust and practical. In the future, a further research on control algorithms, implementation in a real controller and validation in road test need to be done. The phase plane analysis should be further studied and to make a pracitcal and simple rule in judging the stable and unstable areas. The yaw torque should be introduced in phase plane analysis to propose a proper control law for IVD control system.
