The paper presents the research developed for a more exact classification of the synthetic fluid based on polymer gels into a non-newtonian flow model, in the form: tau = tau0 + kSn, where tau is the shear stress, tau0 the yield stress, S the shear rate, k and n material coefficients. From the experimental results and dopted flow model were calculated the material coefficient values k and n, function to the yield stress and shear rate. A new friction coefficient was found: fa = f.psi, where f is the Darcy friction coefficient for newtonian fluids and psi a parameter function of n (power-law index).
