A new frame structure for an EV namend 'the battery builtin frame (BBF)' is proposed and tested. The BBF utilizes the vacant space under the flower where a muffler and a propeller shaft is located in an ICE car. The BBF is composed of hollow beams made of aluminum extrusions. Special shape batteries are inserted in the hollow beams. The 90 mm height, 2600 mm wheel base and 1540 mm width BBF whose aluminum thickness is 2 mm can bear the 6000 kg localized load.
