The paper presents a new numerical technique for the formulation of the equations of motion of general dynamic systems with an emphasis on the equations of motion of helicopter blades. The method is based on the definition of 'Objective Numbers' and the mathematical operations that permit introduction of them into the formulation. It is shown that the present technique provides symbolic exactness while preserving the benefits of numerical coding techniques. The method permits great flexibility in the introduction of modifications to the system and in the choice of parameters that are required to appear symbolically in the equations. Sample calculations of the equations of motion of helicopter blades that operate in a gimbaled rotor are presented and discussed.
