A numerical model, based on the finite element method, of the whole vehicle (including its power drive system) is considered in the paper. The basic assumptions employed at the model constructions of individual subsystems of the vehicle (e.g. hull, running gear, power drive system) as well as the basic characteristics of elements and equations of constraints have been delivered. The general algorithm for formulating and solving of the matrix equation of motion is presented. In order to analyze conjunctions between mechanical vibrations of the vehicle and its transmission the model movement along differently shaped roads have been simulated.
