Since the fever of the Advanced Ceramics materials in the past decades, many efforts have been devoted to realize the ceramics components in Automotive parts. However, the success cases of the materials are rather limited and Government, Ceramics Industries and Scientists are suffering to stimulate applied research and development at this moment. Until recently, Japanese Fine Ceramics applications in automobile industries have expanded more than ten percent per year during past few years and but the economic ressession is disturbing further expansion. Key points for expansion of the material's applications are engineering and managerial efforts to accumulate processing know how enabling production of reliable quality products, design optimization and attainment of end customers enthusiasm. The new criteria necessary for future applications as advanced ceramic gas turbine components are being studied through indepth research of the fracture mechanisms.
