The basis and methodology for the analysis of the safety and reliability usable in the design of motor vehicles is given. The analysis is based on the analysis of top events and operation of a system, designing, implementation and verification of the put off tree, and the generation of the execution recommendations. The put off tree is based on the logic deduction algorithm which analyses the events from the end to the beginning of the whole designing process, evaluating the possibilities of refuse of the implemented system (objects). The objects of the system are classified as repairable and not repairable. As an example the analysis and the refuse tree of the cardan shaft is given. (Jarc)
