Two-phase flow and heat transfer is an important technology for future development of interplanetary spacecraft thermalcontrol, planetary-based power generation systems, and hypersonic vehicle thermal protection. This paper presents several analytical considerations for the prediction of two-phase flow and heat transfer. Two specific examples are explained; the first is that of two-phase natural convection and the second is that of an evaporating two-phase flow.
