In Japan large scale structures are planned to be constructed for example; Tokyo Wan Oudan Douro consists of bridge and tunnel and Kansai International Airport consists of artificial island and bridge. Bridges which are affected by sea water and sea water splash, corrosion prevention is a key technology to reduce maintenance cost and labor. The technology to protect structure is essential importance for reliable and cost effective, we have developed coating, lining, metal cladding, concrete lining, metal lining, special steel and high resistant steel as high performance protective materials. We performed ten years experiment of protective materials on real site. On Pacific resort (Ajigaura), the long term exposure test site has been located for evaluating protective performance. With these test results, we recently revised the recommendation to protect large steel maritime structure.
