The lifting line approximation calculation are performed to obtain the characteristics of the partially cavitating wing and propeller. Both theory about the partially cavitating hydrofoil with thin section and that of thick one are used for obtaining the two dimensional characteristics and also the optimum model at cavity termination is adopted in these theories. Since the curved flow effect caused by chordwise non-uniformity of the perturbed velocity can be taken into account by introducing a correction factor, the lifting line theory for the partially cavitating propeller becomes useful as a concise method for calculating the overall characteristics in a different way than lifting surface theory.
