Radar cross-section is an important factor to consider in the design of many systems for modern warfare. Although the equations determining radar cross-section are well understood, in practice predictions using numerical methods and measurements of both scale models and the full-size targets are required during the development of new systems. The processing power now becoming available has increased the scope of predictive computer codes and the diagnostic information available from measurements.
