An important constituent of a space solar power system (SSPS) is the power transmission channel (PTC) of the microwave beam. As a compromise and more acceptable version among the class of solutions, now known for the SSPS, the authors consider a PTC with an exponential (or linear in a logarithmic scale) law for the variation of the side lobe level from the value provided for in the USSR Medical Standard (MS) near the receiver aperture to the value established by the EMC standard. In this case the background radiation level satisfies the EMC standard, starting from some given distance from the receiver antenna.
