This paper describes the essential features of a generic simulation of an active radio frequency (RF) air-to-air missile seeker. The concept of generic simulation technology capable of supporting advanced seeker development programs. An extensive library of target, environment, and RF seeker models has been incorporated within a modular program structure featuring a tri-level hierarchy of program control functional implementation of models used at the component, subsystem, and system levels. The Generic Seeker Simulation offers considerable flexibility for simulating a broad range of RF seeker configurations and has a significant potential for supporting the evaluation of competitive designs and advanced seeker technologies.
