Linear Motor is the heart of a linear motor powered transportation systems. In this paper a linear induction motor is considered for propulsion of an airbus transportation system. A quasi three dimensional analytical method is employed in order to analyze motor performance. Design of desired motor is presented and the performance is evaluated. Derivations of major equations are presented as well. Longitudinal and transversal edge effects are considered in this method as well.
