This paper describes the direct coupling of missile DATCOM and the Euler/Navier-Stokes solver DLR-TAU code to the trajectory optimization program REENT-6D. The coupling of computational codes is applied along the SHarp Edge Flight EXperiment (SHEFEX I) ascent trajectory. Firstly, results of a three and six degree-of-freedom coupling between REENT-6D and DATCOMare compared with flight data. In a second step, the roll behavior of the second stage is analyzed with the DLR-TAU code including the rigid body motion. The main objectives are the application of the recent developed numerical methods and the comparison of the obtained results with flight data as a first step to rebuild the SHEFEX I flight.
