Estimation of equivalent circuit parameters and open circuit voltage of a battery is one of the main topics in battery modeling for Electric vehicle applications. This presentation investigates the battery parameters for a wide temperature range and simulates the scenario with an equivalent circuit model. LiFePo4 cells are used as the type of Li-ion battery in this investigation. When a battery is being used, there is a need to measure the open circuit voltage as accurately as possible as there is relation between the state-of-charge of the battery and the open circuit voltage. Though, one can calculate state-of-charge of a battery by just integrating the amount of current going in or out of the battery, due to measurement and other errors in current measurement, that method is always erroneous. This investigation tries to present one different way to calculate the open circuit voltage and thus the state of charge while the battery is being used.
