This paper concerns the development of an online software-tool named "Electric Vehicle Configurator" (Elveco, www.elveco.eu). The goal of this application is to analyze the preferences of EV-users and possible users for new electric mobility concepts and to reveal the differences and advantages between electric mobility concepts and ICE-vehicles under different conditions. The user interface of Elveco mainly consists of two parts the "vehicle configurator" and the "vehicle advisor". The vehicle configurator enables the users to design and configure their own preferred vehicle (including hybrid vehicle, battery electric vehicle, or internal combustion engine vehicle). For a better interaction and explanation the user even gets the possibility to change and adjust elements within the concepts also with immediate response on the calculated user value (including total-cost-of-ownership, upfront cost, functionality, greenhouse gas emissions, and so on). With the vehicle advisor the user has the possibility to get professional advices for his individual mobility needs and the best fitting vehicle concept. Therefore the user defines individual criteria and preferences and mobility needs for his own and gets the best matching mobility concepts according to his inputs. Also an overview of the objective user value is shown to him. At last the user could evaluate the proposed concepts. Our research team builds up the tool and analyzes the revealed data of customers the preferences for new electric vehicle concepts.
