The high temperature dry sliding wear behaviour of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was analyzed using a pin-on-disk wear testing equipment with commercial brake pad as a counterface material, The experiment was carried out at loads of 1 kg and 2 kg and at velocities of 1 m/s and 2 m/s. The temperature was varied at 27 °C, 200 °C and 300 °C with a constant sliding distance of 2000 m. The mass loss of both disc and pin was measured and correlated with the test parameters. The load found to have significant influence on mass loss compared to velocity. The SEM images of worn out samples revealed ploughing, chip and debris formations during sliding against brake pad.
