HI-PAT stands for: Development of High Integrated Profile modular concept catalogue for the Automotive and Transport sector out of high- and advanced high-strength multiphase steels with load optimized sheet thicknesses. The aim of the project is to produce a demonstrator for the trailer industry out of roll profiled flexible cold rolled dual phase steel with a tensile strength above 780MPa. Therefore a robust alloy concept with an adjusted heat treatment was developed. The roll forming process was qualified in the first step for an open profile and in the further process for a closed component. The component design based on the construction guidelines which were developed in the first step of the project. These guidelines contain a construction catalogue; a feature catalogue and a tool for the design of component out of roll profiled flexible cold rolled dual phase steels.
