An automotive catalyst system health on-board monitor based on multi-dimensional detection metrics is presented in this work. The detection metrics are determined from the real-time measurements available in modern automotive catalytic aftertreatment systems. Preliminary results based on experimental vehicle testing indicate that it is possible to perform accurate discrimination between catalysts of varying health using these metrics.
