Angle beam transducers are widely applied in nondestructive testing. Their application allows to solve the problems inaccessible to normal incidence transducers - finding flaws under the weld cap and the flaws which are not parallel to a surface of incidence, and also to measure flaws with TOFD-method. Key element of an angle beam transducer is the wedge. The angle of incidence is defined by the Snell's Law through an angle of wedge and sound velocity in the wedge and tested object. With change of sound velocity in the wedge the angle of incidence also changes. In the article there are introduced the results of design of ultrasonic transducers with angle of incidence stable in wide temperature range. Thermostability of sound velocity is connected with internal structure of special wedge material KETRON-GF30. The design of transducers for mobile railway flaw-detectors is described. The results of transducers tests in Russian Railways are introduced.
