In the present time various collision avoidance systems (CAS) get more and more widespread. The chief problem hampering ubiquitous implementation of those is false (premature) actuation. Authors of the article have tried to systematize the approach to traffic situation forecasting in order to optimize CAS algorithm, investigating both co-directional and frontal approach of vehicles.
