In this paper an IMC based design methodology for tracking of the spacecraft attitude is proposed. The plant is first stabilized using state feedback control based on Lyapunov theory. Adaptive attitude tracking is established by incorporating an IMC structure along with the feed- forward controller using the normalized least mean square adaptation algorithm. It has been shown that the output of the plant tracks the desired trajectory with a delay. Computer simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
