In this paper the authors present the results of evaluation of 3G 28 % triple-junction solar cell at conditions relevant for a mission to the Mars surface. The observed performance of solar cell is defined by influence of environmental temperature, insolation intensity and spectral shift of the solar illumination. Although at selected conditions no flat spot effect was observed, a necessity of a cell pre-selection is discussed.
