Commercial production of air-conditioned railway passanger vehicless started in Tverskij vagonostroitelnyj zavod, RU, in 1998 according to the Company own constructions. In 2001, the first 17 passanger coaches for the express trains (Nevskij express, 200 km/h) were delivered. Because the correct safety measures were applied in the coach design, any serious effects of the agly crash of the train in August 2007 (Mala Visera, RU) could be avoided. The next orders in 2005 and 2006 referred to coaches for the Burevestnik express (Niznij Novgorod - Moskva, 140 km/h) and Krasnaja strela night train (160 km/h). The company constructed and delivered also laboratory cars for testing brakes, cars for narrow-gauge Sachalin railway, and coaches for international railway lines (Moskva - Kiev - Beijing). Many technical improvement were lately implemented to improve the passenger coach constructions (corrosion-resistant wall weldments, water supply system, information tables on light-emitting diodes, fire-resistant glass).
