The applicable conception for automated supervision of HMI (Human-Machine-Interaction) is discussed. First the logic of the interaction has to be examined and second the structure of human errors is investigated. The combination of the logical and functional specific discretization of HMI using the introduced SOM (Situation-Operator Modeling) concept and the assumed and included formalizability of human errors allows the automated supervision within the HMI context. An example describes the interaction of the system driver-vehicle and environment, whereby the driver with the vehicle is driving on a multi-lane road following different goals, e.g. drive as fast as possible.
