This study use a sand box to simulate typical hole or pipe test. We had also cooperated with Taipei City Government Bureau of Public Works Material Testing Laboratory in digging up road surfaces so as to measure and interpret images by observing the characteristic of radar wave. And use 3-D image deal with software easy 3D and Gradix image analysis of making data, comparative advantage and disadvantage and difference, examine its suitability , survey the preliminary achievement in the pipeline, divided into three kinds altogether, amounts to 23, 42 examine the line, A =The signal is relatively obvious, can reach the goal pointed out in advance (11 % ), B =Signal faint, can on relative position seek in figure after excavating , may judge by accident only (45 %), C =The signal is equal to noise, the relative position is also unable to point out in the figure after excavate, or exist other more obvious signals cause and judge by accident (44 %); In thickness survey, bituminous concrete thickness and reality unbearable error value that test estimate this accord with U.S.A. ASTM thunder reach standard construct the norm of examining completely, verify that this way has potentiality to demand urgently to be popularized , after examining , utilize the data of examined and collected , from these observations we hope to set up a database that can provide useful information to engineers dealing with image interpretation and explanation.
