On the base of methods of mathematical statistics, wear average variables and wear regularity of cylinders sleeves are determined. Wear plots are constructed for the 8CRN24/36 diesel operating for 20,000 h. Empirical dependence is received, accounting for variety of the influencing wear factors at operation. Technique is shown how to receive extent dependence of cylinders sleeves wear, and coefficients of proportionality in this dependence are determined for various types of ship diesels. The new extent dependence is recommended for preliminary evaluation of overhaul periods and of remaining recourse of ship diesel parts. Measurements interpretation was done by methods of modal intervals, least squares approximations and mean square errors. Used were also other methods of mathematical statistics.
