In this paper, the authors develop efficient methods for passenger online routing for timetabled transport. In case of delays at operations, such methods provide passengers with timely information on alternative routes that can be issued, e.g., via mobile phone. Furthermore, they support customer-oriented dispatcher's decisions on rescheduling of passenger connections. A dynamic trip connection network together with very efficient procedures for network updates in case of delays and for calculation of alternative passenger routes will be presente. The developed methods are tested with the whole German Rail transportation network with 600,000 events daily. For such large-scale instances, special preprocessing techniques are applied to reduce the size of the model network and provide computational results. The passenger onlinerouting component is integrated into a dispatcher's support and passenger information system.
