The train dynamic was presented as a complex problem. The developed hardware and software for simulating the system of the train drive was developed. The simulator was dedicated for training the locomotive drivers to shorten the training terms and reduce the quantity of fault actions of the newly trained drivers. The energy-saving modes of driving shown during the simulator training let the drivers to acquire skills of rational consumption of the power for train traction. Even 10-% saving of electric energy could be achieved this way.
