With the introducing of multi-rigid-body system dynamics, it becomes possible for a much more subtle kinematics analysis of the suspension and steering mechanism's movements. In this paper, taking the McPherson strut and the steering mechanism as an integrated system, based on the R-W (Robertson and Wittenburg) method of multi-rigid- body, an optimisation program for McPherson strut and the steering mechanism was made. In this optimising model, the influence of the wheel bouncing to the steering error as well as two weight function are taking into account. Thus, the steering error is minimised and its distribution is much properly.
