A detailed study of the effect of alloy type and size on the press and sintered mechanical properties of blended elemental Ti-6Al-4V alloy was carried out. It was found that the use of hydrogenated titanium combined with a master alloy addition gives the lowest cost and the most uniform sintered microstructure, particularly low porosity, and the best mechanical properties.
